Technical Communication is one of the most important things in the world of business because all transaction that I have been passed through encompasses with what we called technical communication. Like for instance in gathering client, we use to send them a business letter to inform them for the said business meeting; it is also used to send some memos. I also encounter the making of progress report in our product.

Technical communication is in many ways like other forms of communication. To communicate well, you need to be clear and precise. Technical communication, however, uses some tools that are different than what you will find in everyday writing and speaking. This document will guide you in preparing technical documents. I use to make minutes of report after the meeting of the mayors with the councilor. One thing that makes it unique to the other form of communication is that it is formal and we need here to be clear and precise because it deals with a serious matter.

Technical communication, I can describe it as a medium of our communication in our class: simply because Most of the laboratory exercises we make will require my class to turn in some kind of written report or a simple laboratory report. To my student they usually make letter if they are not going to attend the laboratory class, the letter that they make is one form of technical communication: because it promotes formality. Another thing when I graduated, I find that most of my technical communications will be in writing. Being able to effectively communicate in writing is a skill that you can develop now while you were still ones young and studying that will serve you well throughout your professional life.

Science and technology are human endeavors. They are about people learning about the physical world, and using what they learn to change that world. Centuries ago, it was possible for one person to know much of what was known about the physical world. Those days are long past. Today, science and technology advance as teams of people pool their knowledge and understanding to take on increasingly complex problems. To succeed in this world, it is not enough just to know an important fact or have a good idea. You must be able to communicate your ideas to others.
Technical communication is in many ways like other forms of communication. To communicate well, you need to be clear and precise. Technical communication, however, uses some tools that are different than what you will find in everyday writing and speaking. This document will guide you in preparing technical documents. Some of what you will find in this document is slanted toward the writing of an undergraduate laboratory report, but the skills you will learn as you use this guide will serve you well in whatever field of science or technology you choose as a career.

Definition of Technical Communication

Technical communication is the process of conveying technical information through writing, speech, and other mediums to a specific audience. Information is usable if the intended audience can perform an action or make a decision based on it . Technical communicators often work collaboratively to create products (deliverables) for various media, including paper, video, and the Internet. Deliverables include online help user manuals, technical manuals, specifications, process and procedure manuals, reference cards, training, business papers and reports.

Conclusion:

Being well informed about Technical communication and writing and having skill in using writing tools and communication skills are important in being technical Communicators. Knowledge can make the work easier, increase your esteem and make you more valuable to your employer. Thus, we must not end up of what we have; instead, we should continuously study to improve our knowledge and skills.

As a individual, technical communication is very important in these days where technology is extremely running in this competitive world. An interview with three (3) respondents was conducted to give us an insight on the importance of technical communication in this competitive world.

My first respondent was a government teacher, Mrs. Alome C. Aritmetica. “We live in a fast pace world and technical communication is important in our educational system to ensure the proper implementation of projects and programs. It’s really an advantage for everyone to have the skills and knowledge in using technical communication because there’s an uprising number of job seeker nowadays” she said.

Mr. Noel R. Sarmiento, a supervisor in a print-ad company said, “Put it this way, you want to buy a product but the problem is you have to figure it out for yourself, would you buy it? That’s when technical communication is useful; in means of manuals and the like.”

Engineer Aldrin D. Cledera, an employee of an electric company said, “If you are well-informed and knows how to write effectively, it’s easier to do job with less time and effort needed. Also it boosts your self esteem and makes you feel better about yourself.

From the interviews I’ve conducted I have synthesize the following conclusion that technical communication creates whole new concepts that meet the needs of emerging technologies, developing markets and innovate services for educational and professional development.

Technical communication is, above all, functional; it performs a specific purpose, targets a specific audience, and uses a range of known and tested conventions.

The effectiveness of technical communication varies on educational level, with less educated people relying on aural and pictorial media and more educated people relying on print. Indeed persuasive communication should be accentuated by students who would be part of this emerging and competitive world.
